Sewn Goods 101 Workshop
This on-site, two-day workshop teaches you how to efficiently build a U.S. supply chain and develop successful, long-term relationships with manufacturers. It includes hands-on fabric and materials sessions, guest Q&As with supply chain partners, and tours of manufacturing facilities. Only eight participants are accepted for each workshop*.
Workshop includes:
Introduction to Materials and Sourcing, Product Development, Production, Finishing & Printing, Tags, Labels & Packaging
Hands-on material sessions in CTD sourcing library with over 3,400 swatches and samples of various material types
Tours of manufacturing facilities
Individual project discussion session with Project Coordinator
*If less than four participants are registered for a class a week and half before class, the class will be canceled and registered participants will be moved to a subsequent class.

Virtual Series
This online experience is a great way to learn if you can't travel to NC for our workshops. Virtual classes range from a half-hour to two hours, and you can watch them as your schedule allows. Individual Modules
1. Materials & Sourcing $130
This module is helpful if you don’t know anything about fabric construction, fiber types, or different material sources. We will give you the tools to successfully identify and source your fabrics.
2. Product Development $130
Need patterns and prototypes for your product? This module is for you. Through this course, we will help you understand the basics and connect you with a designer and/or pattern maker.
3. Production $130
This module is for anyone wanting to work with a domestic cut & sew manufacturer. You will understand the process of scaling ethical products and all that entails including labor costs, normal turnaround times, helpful do’s and don’t.
4. Tags & Labels $130
Tags, labels, and packaging options…it’s all critical for a well-designed product. Better understand label laws for textile products and learn our recommended sources.
5. Finishing & Printing $130
It’s all things fabric finishes and yardage minimums and can be extremely helpful when considering printing on your textile produce.
